MAY READING WRAP UP!! ( BOOKS THAT I READ IN MAY)

Soooo, as I have mentioned in my previous blogs that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BOOKS BUT MOSTLY OF THE ROMANCE GENRE AND FICTIONAL! So I'm gonna start a series where I write about all the books I have read in a month and also give you some recommendations. And this is the first blog in the series! My May month's reading wrap up .ie. All the books that I read in May! And guys , I read some really good books this month so I'm really happy that this is the first blog in the series!!!

1. Josh and Hazel's Guide To Not Dating (Christina Lauren) :

I love Christina and Lauren. I think I have only read a handful of their books but all of them were awesome! This one was also so so so cute! Loved the chemistry between the main characters : Josh and Hazel , and the whole grumpy x sunshine vibe going on because gosh Hazel , she was so clumsy and enchanting and a complete hot mess  , I loved it! It also has bestfriend' brother/sister's bestfriend trope that I love! I love how the chemistry slowly builds up and the double dates and everything! It was a fun and lighthearted read! Very cute! 100% recommended.

2. Better Than the Movies (Lynn Painter) :

First of all , can we just talk about the cover?! Its so freaking cute!! And honestly the book is even cuter! This is a young adult romance and I know many people don't like to read Young adult but I would strongly recommend ya'll to read this!! I loved that in the beginning of every chapter there is a very romantic dialogue from old classic romantic films like When Harry Met Sally , 10 Things I Hate About You etc! And after finishing the book I watched so many of the films that were mentioned in the book and enjoyed them to the max! I also made an entire Playlist of the songs mentioned in the book! And its enemies to lovers!!!!!! The characters , the movies and music references , the playlist , the romcom , the banter everything I love was in the book and it was just perfect! You have to read it like right now!

3. Juniper Hill (Devney Perry) :

Okay ya'll this book again was fantastic! Loved it!! It was amazingg! Knox and Memphis both are sooo good!! I'm in love with Knox Eden! He is this broody tattooed chef , I meannnn I meannnn that just says it all but he was super caring too. The way he took care of Drake, Memphis's son and then also treated Memphis so amazingly and made her food and helped her to be independent and gave her a shoulder to cry on and everything man! It was so wholesome!! And Memphis too , she left her whole life and luxury behind for her son! She was a very strong character and I loved that!! 100% recommended!

4. Lotus (Jennifer Hartmann) :

So honestly I still don't know how I feel about this book but it was so unique. SO UNIQUE. I mostly stick to contemporary romance but this was something completely different. I didn't know what I was going into when I started this book but then I got so into it that I finished the whole book in a day! It was definitely a page turner! By the end of it , I was so shocked that I actually really liked the book! Sydney and Oliver were amazing! And when you get to know the actual meaning behind LOTUS , you'd be like 'wha-what just happene??' I really really liked the book and how it was written. Fab! One word to describe the book would be , as I said, 'Unique' for sure !

5. All Rhodes Lead Here (Mariana Zapata) :

So first thing is that this book was damnnnn longggggg! Very long , to the point I felt like it was dragged! I read this book online and I swear I just skimmed through a lot of pages! It was an extreme level slow burn that I got bored a little bit! But I like the single dad trope! And the main characters , Tobias and Aurora ,were pretty good too! But one character I loved the most was Amos , Tobias's son. He was a great kid! I loved the bond he had with Rhodes and Aurora! I have read 2 other Mariana Zapata's books that are : With Love From Lukov and The Wall of Winnipeg and Me , both of them i lovedd!! This one was good too but not her best , at least in my opinion!

MY RATINGS : 3.99/5 (almost 4/5 but not quite)

6. Every Summer After (Carley Fortune) :

A perfect summer read!!! This was very much like Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren and The Summer I Turned Pretty Series by Jenny Han and I love them veryyyyy muchhhh!!!!!! So I obviously loved this book too! This was actually Carley Fortune's first book and it is all over booktok and bookstagram and booktube but the hype is all worth it! She killed it!! I love the childhood best friends to strangers to lovers trope and the beach house trope and this book has it all! It was a past and present book that I love too! Persephone and Sam has my heart <33333 It was intense , funny , cute , emotional and very realistic! LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!! You have to read it!!!!

7. The Summer I Turned Pretty (Jenny Han) :

I know I know , I just mentioned it above and also in my previous blogs but I HAD TO RE-READ IT! Because its web-series is releasing on 17th June and OHMYGOD I can't wait! I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH! These books got me into reading again and they are amazing! AMAZING! Belly , Conrad and Jeremiah will always have my heart! This series is everything summer! The beach house , the Fisher brothers , childhood friends to lovers , love triangle EVERYTHING! And of course the belly flop ughhhh iconic!!! This series made me happy , emotional , angry , gave me butterflies and possibly every emotion one could feel! I have read it like 4-5 times by now and I still can't get over them! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEB SERIES AND I HAVE HIGH EXPECTATIONS FROM IT! I'M SUPER EXCITED!
